The Aquatics GB Swimming Championships is ready to get underway from April 15-20, at the London Aquatics Centre. This is the same venue which hosted the aquatics events at the 2012 London Olympics.
The six days of events at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships 2025 will mark the beginning of the new Olympic cycle in the run up to the LA 2028. More than 1,000 athletes will be taking part across a fully-integrated swimming and para-swimming programme,
Last week it was announced that the LA 2028 programme will include the Olympic debuts of the 50m backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. All of the new events will feature at the British championships, providing an additional element of excitement for the speed demons.
A host of Olympic and Paralympic champions including Duncan Scott, Alice Tai, Matt Richards and Poppy Maskill will be taking the plunge in the pool.

This competition is significant as it is the sole qualifying opportunity for British stars to earn a spot in the nation’s roster for this year’s World Championships. Qualification for numerous junior teams, including the World and European Junior Swimming Championships, U23 European Swimming Championships and European Youth Olympic Festival, is also on the line.
