Rahul Dravid Dismisses Rift Rumours with Sanju Samson
Rahul Dravid spoke out after rumours of tension in the Rajasthan Royals camp during IPL 2025. The rumours started during the Super Over against Delhi Capitals, when Sanju Samson walked away from the team huddle with a disappointed look.
While Dravid was talking to the players, Samson left suddenly. When a teammate asked him what was wrong, Samson appeared to respond with a clear “no,” sparking talk of a possible rift.
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson seemed to show he wasn’t interested in listening to head coach Rahul Dravid, as he stood at a distance during the team talk. After the video went viral, many people started guessing that Samson was upset with Dravid and that things might not be going well between them.

However, RR head coach Rahul Dravid made it clear that there’s no conflict or misunderstanding between him and Sanju Samson. He said the team is united and focused on their IPL 2025 campaign. Before RR’s match against Lucknow Super Giants on April 19 in Jaipur, Dravid told Sportstar, “Sanju and I are on the same page.”
Rajasthan Royals face Lucknow Super Giants on April 19 in Jaipur, struggling with just two wins from seven games and sitting eighth on the points table. They recently lost a close Super Over match to Delhi Capitals.
RR’s batting has been inconsistent, with Yashasvi Jaiswal showing promise. Captain Sanju Samson is battling a side strain, and his return is uncertain. Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel need to step up if RR hopes to turn their season around.
Nitish Rana has shown some form recently and will be key for RR against LSG. In bowling, Jofra Archer is slowly finding rhythm, but the rest have struggled.
Sandeep Sharma has been the only consistent bowler, and others need to improve if RR wants to end their three-match losing streak.
