Recently, Sophie Shine has been spending time in India, visiting historical places and sharing photos in traditional Indian clothes. She was also seen making fun videos (reels) with Shikhar Dhawan. Shine even appeared with Dhawan at the ICC Champions Trophy, where he was named a brand ambassador.
For those who don’t know, Shine is Dhawan’s new partner after he divorced Aesha Mukerji in 2023, citing emotional distress and cruelty.
Who is Sophie Shine?
Sophie Shine is from Ireland and works as a product consultant. She has a strong professional background, with a degree in Marketing and Management from the Limerick Institute of Technology. She also studied at Castleroy College in Ireland and now works as the second vice president at Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi.
While it’s unclear when the couple first met, Shine has been seen with Dhawan in public since he retired from international cricket in 2024. She also accompanied him to stadiums during IPL 2024, which caught the attention of fans.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Shikhar Dhawan first liked one of Sophie Shine’s Instagram posts on June 13, 2023. Sources told the outlet that the two met a few years ago in Dubai. What started as a casual friendship eventually grew into a serious relationship. Reports also suggest that Dhawan and Shine have been living together for over a year.
