SRH vs DC, IPL 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have announced the list of impact players for the 55th match of IPL 2025.
In this match, Pat Cummins is leading Sunrisers Hyderabad as they take on Delhi Capitals, led by Axar Patel, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are back at home but are close to being knocked out of IPL 2025. Despite keeping most of their strong squad from last year, they sit 9th on the table with only 3 wins from 10 matches. They still have a slim chance of making the playoffs but need to win big in all remaining games and hope other results go their way.
Delhi Capitals (DC), with 6 wins in 10 matches, are just outside the top four. After a strong start with four wins in a row, their form has dipped, winning only one of their last four. Poor batting has been their biggest issue, with players like KL Rahul, Karun Nair, and Faf du Plessis not performing consistently.
Their bowling has been stronger – Mitchell Starc is in great form, and Kuldeep Yadav has done well with spin. Starc has a good record against SRH, taking 10 wickets in 4 games since 2024. In matches where he played against them, SRH only won once, back in 2014. Overall, SRH led the head-to-head 13-12.
Toss Talks: Captains Share Their Plans
At the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins said they haven’t played their best cricket yet in IPL 2025. He said:
“We’ll bowl. We’ve talked about a few things, haven’t had a complete game yet.”

Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel also wanted to bowl first, saying the pitch will stay the same throughout. He said:
“Would’ve fielded first as well, looks like a good wicket and it shouldn’t change much.”
