The ISSF World Cup Shotgun Cyprus was held from 3 May to 11 May. The prestigious event brought together 350 elite shooters for intense competition in the Olympic disciplines of Trap and Skeet. As one of the calendar’s most popular events, the tournament served as a platform for world-class performances but also as a crucial qualifier for the ISSF World Cup Final in Doha later this year. The event featured individual and mixed team events.

The event started with standout performances across both Trap and Skeet. In the men’s trap, Spain’s Manuel Murcia clinched the gold while Lada Denisova, competing as a neutral athlete, clinched the victory in the women’s trap. Surprisingly enough, the Neutral Athletes were in strong form and also topped the medal tally with two gold medals.

The Skeet finals saw an intense performance by Elia Sdruccioli and Daria Kuznetsova, who took the top honours.

A major highlight of the ISSF World Cup Shotgun Cyprus came on the final day as India’s Kynan Chenai and 18-year-old Sabeera Haris secured the bronze medal in the Trap mixed event. This victory not only marked India’s first Shotgun medal in the 2025 World Cup season but also showcased India’s prowess in the finals.

China took the gold in the mixed team trap events while Poland claimed silver.

Kynan Chenai’s strong performance in the team final, hitting 10 consecutive targets to secure the bronze, became a highlight of the ISSF World Cup Shotgun Cyprus.
