Tekken 8 EWC 2025 Format: How will the Tournament be?

The format of Tekken 8 EWC is a bit different from other fighting games like Street Fighter 6. Here extra stages and unique bracket system is being used.

Stage 1 – Group Stage (8 Groups of 4 Players):

There will be total 8 groups.
There will be 4 players in each group.
It will be double double-elimination format (elimination will be done only after losing twice).
The top 2 players of each group will go to the next round.

Stage 2 – Second Group Phase (4 Groups of 4 Players):

Again double elimination format.
The top 2 players of this round will go to the Final bracket.

Finals – Single Elimination Bracket:

There will be no second chance here.
If you lose once then you are out of the tournament.
These players will fight to become the champion.

This format is unique because the finals take place after 2 group rounds. Normally, fighting games have only one group round.

The prize pool of this tournament is $1 Million USD. The winner will get both name and money. This is the reason why all the top players come with full power in this event.
