Xabi will also be facing old enemies as he joined Real Madrid this summer from Bayer Leverkusen, who play in the German Bundesliga. Alonso has faced them quite a few times and last season he won once and lost once against them. The last meeting between the two happened on 11th May which resulted in a 4-2 win for Dortmund.
