The Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 is ready to begin and will run from July 15 to July 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This exciting tournament will bring together 18 top teams from all around the world. With a massive prize pool of $3 million, it’s one of the biggest events in the mobile esports scene.
The matches will be played at the Boulevard Riyadh City’s 5V5 Arena, a popular esports venue in Saudi Arabia. This tournament is also part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025, making it even more special.
Prize Pool Breakdown
The total prize pool is $3 million, and the winners will take home the biggest share of $750,000, which is 25% of the entire pool.
Here’s how the prize money is divided:
- 1st Place – $750,000
- 2nd Place – $460,000
- 3rd Place – $310,000
- 4th Place – $200,000
- 5th to 8th Place – $130,000 each
- 9th & 10th Place – $100,000 each
- 11th to 14th Place – $80,000 each
- 15th to 18th Place – $60,000 each

These teams earned their spots through regional events and qualifiers held earlier in the year.
Tournament Format
The Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 is split into four stages:
- Group Stage
- Last Chance
- Group Kings
- Playoffs
Let’s go through each one.
1. Group Stage (July 15 – 19)
- 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups (A, B, C, D).
- The top team in each group moves directly to Playoffs + Group Kings.
- The second-place team goes to the Last Chance round.
- All other teams will be eliminated.
2. Last Chance (July 20)
- 4 teams (those who placed second in each group) will be split into 2 groups.
- Only one team from each group will advance to the Playoffs.
3. Group Kings (July 20)
- The top 4 teams from Group Stage face off.
- Matchups: A1 vs B1 and C1 vs D1.
- Winners go into the Top 4 Pool of the Playoffs.
- Losers will be placed in the Bottom 4 Pool.
4. Playoffs (July 23 – 26)
- A total of 8 teams will take part:
- 2 teams (All Gamers Global & ThunderTalk Global) directly invited to Top 4 Pool
- 2 teams from Group Kings (winners)
- 2 teams from Group Kings (losers)
- 2 teams from the Last Chance
The Playoffs will decide the ultimate champion of the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025.
