Farhan began his sporting journey with football during primary school in Solo and even captained his school team in regional competitions, before switching to badminton to follow his older sibling’s lead

Farhan began his international junior competition in 2017 at age 12. He won his first major junior title at the Korea Junior International U‑13 and continued to succeed in U‑15/U‑19 events. He won tcrowns at Bangladesh Junior U‑19 (2021) and Alpes International U‑19 (2022).
In 2023, he became Indonesia’s first-ever men’s singles champion at the BWF World Junior Championships, beating China’s Hu Zhe’an in the final (21‑19, 19‑21, 21‑14) in Spokane, USA.
