Brentford makes significant changes for the Brentford vs Chelsea match at Gtech Community Stadium, with Mathias Jensen replacing absent Mikkel Damsgaard. Ethan Pinnock also comes back into the starting team, taking the place of Dango Ouattara, as head coach Keith Andrews makes tactical changes.

Mathias Jensen Replaces Mikkel Damsgaard in Brentford vs Chelsea

In a big switch for Brentford vs Chelsea, Mathias Jensen is set to play his initial Premier League start since the opening fixture of the campaign. The Danish midfielder comes in for countryman Mikkel Damsgaard, who is out of the game through illness. Head coach Keith Andrews confirmed the miss, saying, “Mikkel isn’t well, and a couple of the coaches as well.”

Jensen’s addition serves an important injection to the midfield with Brentford set to tackle Chelsea in this pivotal Premier League encounter at Gtech Community Stadium.

Keith Andrews Makes More Changes in the Lineup

Other than Jensen’s inclusion, Andrews has made another switch in tactics after the 2-1 loss against Sunderland in their last match. Ethan Pinnock replaces Dango Ouattara in the starting lineup. Pinnock’s defensive prowess will be important in assisting Brentford to counter Chelsea’s attacking threat.

Also included in the substitute bench is Vitaly Janelt, who has not played since April because of a heel problem. Club Deadline Day signing Reiss Nelson is also included. This would be a possible return to the squad for Janelt, which could provide Brentford with some extra midfield cover in the weeks ahead.

Chelsea Squad News: Cole Palmer and Alejandro Garnacho Among Substitutes

For Chelsea, manager Enzo Maresca has included Cole Palmer and Alejandro Garnacho on the subs bench. Palmer, who has been out injured since the first game of the season, will provide extra attacking options if used. Garnacho, who is a new arrival at Chelsea, will similarly give the Blues more attacking depth.

Match Preview: Brentford vs Chelsea

With Mathias Jensen filling in for the injured Mikkel Damsgaard, Brentford will seek to continue their impressive early-season displays when they welcome Chelsea to home. The Premier League match at Gtech Community Stadium promises to be a thrilling match, with the two sides aiming for crucial points.

Brentford will have to be defensively sound, because Chelsea have an attacking group that can cause issues. However, the Bees have been quite steady this year and will be hopeful, as they have made changes throughout the lineup, including the addition of Ethan Pinnock and Jensen in midfield.

For their part, Chelsea will want to get away from recent defeats and hope looking to keep the ball in play when it arrives Cole Palmer and Alejandro Garnacho on the bench. The Blues are simply hoping for luck as they play core players João Pedro, Caicedo, and the rest of the starters and keep pressing for a strong finish to the Premier League season.
