A jaw-dropping display was seen in the Vijay Hazare Trophy’s match between Uttar Pradesh and Baroda, in which Dhruv Jurel hit an unbeaten 160 from only 101 deliveries as his team won the match by a 54-run difference in that encounter. The knock was laced with 15 fours and 8 sixes in it.

He was backed by a fine knock of 63 from Rinku Singh, as Uttar Pradesh recorded a staggering 369/7. Even with the best efforts from Baroda captain Krunal Pandya, with 82, and cameos from Atit Sheth and Vishnu Solanki, along with fifties from Shashwat Rawat, Baroda could only manage 315, their third straight defeat to UP.

Other Notable Batting Efforts in the Vijay Hazare Trophy

Aman Mokhade (139 from 125 balls) and R Samarth (114 from 108 balls) were the stars of the successful chasing effort by Vidarbha against Jammu & Kashmir. Their effective partnership of 218 runs for the third wicket helped Vidarbha chase 311 with nine balls remaining.

Delhi Edges Out Saurashtra in a Thriller

A magnificent 115 off 104 deliveries by Vishvaraj Jadeja and a late flourish by Ruchit Ahir (95 off 65)* were still insufficient as Delhi pulled off a thrilling three-wicket victory. Priyansh Arya’s 78 laid the foundation, while crucial contributors from the lower order ensured Delhi registered their third consecutive win.

Assam, Uttarakhand, and Bengal Record Notable Victories

Sibsankar Roy (112) guided his team Assam to a four-wicket victory over Hyderabad. A score of 118 runs, contributed by Kunal Chandela, helped Uttarakhand. Abishek Porel (106 off 84 balls) eclipsed the century from Manan Vohra as Bengal won

Jharkhand Dominate Kumar Kushagra (105) and Utkarsh Singh (74) had laid the foundation before Anukul Roy’s innings of 98 off 53 balls propelled Jharkhand to 368 for 7. Puducherry was bowled out for 235, thus giving Jharkhand a staggering win by 133 runs.

Best Bowling Performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy

Ramakrishna Ghosh’s 7 wicket haul Goes in vain. The best bowling performance in the tournament was by one named Ramakrishna Ghosh, who pulled off the sensational feat of claiming 7 wickets for only 42 runs, only the 12th bowler in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy to take seven or more wickets. This, however, wasn’t enough as he helped his side win the match by seven runs against Maharashtra.

Mumbai, Tripura and Odisha Shine With the Ball

  • Shams Mulani (5 for 31) and Shardul Thakur combined to demolish Chhattisgarh, giving Mumbai a nine-wicket win.

  • Vijay Shankar (4 wickets) led Tripura to a 66-run victory over Rajasthan.

  • Biplab Samantray and Govinda Poddar took three wickets each as Odisha defeated Andhra.
