Nandani Sharma’s dream spell came in the WPL 2026 match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants at Navi Mumbai. Bowling with pace and accuracy, the 24-year-old pacer scripted history by becoming the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in WPL history. She finished with brilliant figures of 5 for 33, completely turning the match in Delhi Capitals’ favour. 

Nandani Sharma completed her historic hat-trick at the end of the innings. She dismissed Kanika Ahuja on 19.4 overs, Rajeshwari Gayakwad on 19.5 overs, and Renuka Singh on the final ball, 19.6 overs. These three wickets on three balls sealed a dramatic finish and created WPL history.

Gujarat Giants struggled to recover after her fiery spell, losing wickets in quick succession. Delhi Capitals posted a competitive total and then dominated with the ball, sealing a comfortable win. Nandani’s hat-trick and five-wicket haul became the highlight of the match and a landmark moment in WPL history.

Nandani Sharma is an attacking fast bowler who likes to bowl with pace and accuracy, focusing on taking wickets rather than just stopping runs. In the WPL 2025–26 season, she played 2 matches for Delhi Capitals and bowled 42 balls, giving away 59 runs and taking an impressive 7 wickets.

 Her best performance was 5 wickets for 33 runs, which shows how dangerous she can be with the ball. She had a good bowling average of 8.42 and an economy rate of 8.42, meaning she took wickets quickly while controlling runs.
