Pakistan Super League (PSL) has signed its biggest media rights deal to date, agreeing to a four-year broadcast and digital streaming deal worth around US$93 million (PKR 26.11 billion). PSL’s latest deal is a major boost for the league’s financial stability and its position alongside other top T20 leagues around the world.

PSL Signs Historic Media Rights Deal with Walee Technologies

The Pakistan Super League has signed a new broadcasting contract with Walee Technologies for the 2026-2029 season.

  • The duration of the broadcasting contract is from 2026 to 2029.
  • The broadcasting rights included in the deal are television broadcasting and live digital streaming.

It is worth mentioning here that Walee Technologies already owns the Pindi Franchise.

Expanded PSL Format Drives Higher Valuation

A new financial boost is being provided along with structural changes to the league format.

PSL Expansion Details:

  • Teams increased from 6 to 8
  • Matches increased from 34 to 44

As the number of matches has grown, so too will the associated increase in value of the media rights agreement. What is interesting to note is the significant increase in the valuation of each unique match compared to before.

  • Historical Value Per Match – PKR 122 million
  • New Value Per Match – PKR 148 million
  • Percentage Change – 21% increase

The above valuation increases are a function of the dramatically growing demand, commercial strength and viewership potential of the overall PSL brand.

Franchise Bidding War Boosts PSL Brand Value

The PSL Record Deal is a result of aggressive bidding during the recent auction. The Multan Sultans franchise, now known as Pindi, has reportedly been sold for PKR 2.45 billion annually under a ten-year deal.
