The Kiwis
As far as the performance of India’s opponent, New Zealand, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the T20I format of the game is concerned, the Blackcaps have played two T20Is at this venue and are yet to open their account, having lost both of them.
The Result
One of those games was played in the 2026 T20 World Cup, the same team that the Mitchell Santner-led side got the better of by nine wickets in the first semifinal at the Eden Gardens. Having said that, the case wasn’t the same after the match in question, as New Zealand found itself on the wrong side of the result, courtesy of a good performance with bat, ball, and in the field from South Africa.
