UFC Announces Historic White House Card for Independence Weekend

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has officially announced a spectacular fight card for its next White House Card, dubbed UFC Freedom Fights 250. The event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, during the Independence Day celebrations in the United States of America.

This special edition of UFC Freedom Fights 250 is also scheduled to coincide with Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The event will also mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje Set for Lightweight Title Unification

The main event of the White House Card will be the explosive match-up between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje in a unification bout for the lightweight title. The Georgian fighter, who is currently the reigning lightweight champion, has a spotless professional record of 17-0. He is known for his incredible knockout power.

The 29-year-old fighter, who represents Spain, won the title in the 155-pound division by defeating Charles Oliveira. The fighter had taken time off due to personal reasons but is now gearing up to make his title defense. There is also a possibility that he might move up to the welterweight division in the future.

Justin Gaethje Eyes Undisputed UFC Gold

On the opposite side of the octagon, Justin Gaethje will be in the hunt for the undisputed title once again. The 37-year-old American fighter has a professional record of 27-5 and has been in the hunt for the UFC lightweight title since 2020. Gaethje has in the past almost claimed the title but has failed against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira.

While Topuria is away, Gaethje claimed the interim lightweight title when he beat Paddy Pimblett by unanimous decision in Las Vegas earlier this year. Gaethje is a veteran fighter with almost two decades of experience and is based in Denver. He was born in Safford, Arizona.

Alex Pereira to Fight for Third UFC Title

Another important highlight of the White House Card is Alex Pereira’s attempt at UFC history when he takes on Ciryl Gane to determine who will be crowned the interim heavyweight champion.

Alex Pereira is expected to become a three-division UFC champion, adding to his legendary status as one of the most versatile athletes in combat sports.
