IPL 2026 Purple Cap And Orange Cap Standings: The Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2026 is getting into full swing, with several matches being high-scoring affairs and several teams becoming established as championship contenders.
With Rajat Patidar scoring a brilliant 53 off 43 balls, Royal Challengers were able to pick up their third victory of the tournament and, therefore, enhance his position in the Orange Cap standings as well.
The tournament has previously begun with the March 25, 2009 match between the Royal Challengers (RCB) defending champions and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
There have now been a total of 15 completed matches that have taken place since then, resulting in additional excitement as well as developing the teams competing for this season’s championship.
The April 12 match against MI (the now former champions of the IPL) took place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. This was the first example of a match in which the bowlers had as much or more of an impact on the outcome of a game than the batters particularly when tracking the performance of Krunal Pandya.
He has progressed up the Purple Cap leaderboard, due to his 1/26 statistics, particularly since the conditions were favourable to batting, which ultimately made for great entertainment for both players and spectators alike.
