IPL 2026: The Indian Premier League has always been a global T20 league, and cricket fans from different regions love this league. Last night, the 30th match of IPL season 19 was played between the Mumbai Indians and the Gujarat Titans. Mumbai beats Gujarat by 99 runs in an explosive battle between both teams. Apart from this, Tilak Verma achieved a unique feat in his career so far, becoming the 9th player in the history of IPL to outscore an opposition in terms of runs. Tilak joined the list of veteran players like Brandan McCullum, Chris Gayle, and Virat Kohli.

Here are the players with unique feat in IPL history

Brendon McCullum was the first Player

In the very first season of the Indian premier league, Brandon macCullm made a unqiue record where he scored 158 in just 73 balls with 13 sixes and 10 fours, having a strike rate of 216.73. with the help of mcCullum century KKR put a total  of  222, and in return, the whole RCB team was not able to score even 100 runs, which is so much less than McCullum’s innings. He became the first player to make this record.

Rahul Dravid

On 18th april 2009 in Capetown there was an exciting fight between RCB and RR. Indian star player Rahul dravid scored 66 run and his team post total of 133-8. In return, RR was not able to reach Dravid’s feet and all out on just 58.

Chris Gayle (2013 & 2015)

This is the most famous instance. Gayle’s 175 against Pune Warriors India is the highest individual score in T20 history. Pune finished their entire 20 overs at 133/9, falling 42 runs short of Gayle’s personal score alone. In 2015, Gayle did this twice in his career, where he made 117 runs from RCB against the Punjab Kings, and the whole Punjab team was all out on just 88. Universe Boss made this record twice in his IPL tenure.

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers

In the 2016 IPL season, run machine Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers were on fire against the Gujarat Lions. Both made centuries where Virat made 109 runs and de Villiers scored 129. With the help of both innings, RCB posted the total of 248, and in return, the whole Gujarat lions team did not matched the feat of Kohli’s 109, and they just scored 104 runs. This is how Kohli and de Villiers achieved this feat.

Jonny Bairstow

In the 2019 IPL season, Jonny Bairstow made 114 vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, and SRH posted a total of 231. In return, Virat Kohli’s RCB was not able to beat the bairstow’s 114 run and they just fall by 1 run. Bairstow’s name was included in this list that day.

KL Rahul

Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul made 132 runs against RCB in 2019. In return, RCB again was not able to match Rahul’s total score, and the whole team just made 109 runs. After this, KL Rahul’s name was also included in this list of unique records.

Tilak Verma

IPl 2026 in 30th macth against the Gujarat Titans, Tilak Verma became the first Mumbai Indians player to achieve this feat. After a slow start (19 runs off 22 balls), he exploded to finish with 101 off 45, scoring with a strike rate of  224.44 and hitting 7 sixes and 8 fours.
