Christian Horner was seen in the MotoGP paddock at the Spanish Grand Prix weekend in Jerez, Spain and this has led to renewed speculation as to what Horner’s next move will be in motorsport.

Since leaving Red Bull Racing after the British Grand Prix last year, Horner has not yet secured a new position, nor has any information been made available concerning where he intends to go next.

Christian Horner Spotted inside the Honda garage

Cameras picked up Christian Horner inside the factory Honda garage, engaged in a conversation with Koji Watanabe, president of Honda Racing Corporation.

The two share a long-standing relationship from Honda’s previous partnership with Red Bull in Formula 1, which only adds more intrigue to the sighting.

Christian Horner has recently been linked with a potential return to Formula 1 through an investment group exploring involvement with Alpine F1 Team. However, no deal has been confirmed so far, leaving him on the sidelines for now.

His presence in MotoGP doesn’t confirm anything concrete, but it definitely raises questions about whether he could be exploring opportunities beyond F1.

MotoGP drawing F1 interest

MotoGP itself has been attracting increasing attention from the F1 world, especially with Liberty Media expanding its involvement in the series.

Recent moves, like Guenther Steiner leading a consortium to take over the Tech3 KTM outfit, show that crossover between the two paddocks is becoming more common.

For now, Christian Horner’s appearance might just be a visit. But in motorsport, these kinds of appearances rarely go unnoticed.
