He explained that his approach is straightforward: if he is seen as someone who contributes positively to the team environment, he is fully committed to playing. However, if he is made to constantly justify his place, he is not interested in being part of that setup, as he remains disciplined in his preparation and effort regardless. Kohli added that he continues to feel grateful for his cricketing journey and the opportunities he has received. He emphasized that whenever he steps onto the field, he focuses on hard work, clarity of mindset, and giving his best without distraction.

Virat Kohli reiterated that his dedication to Indian cricket has remained unchanged, saying he continues to train and prepare with the same intensity and discipline that has defined his career. He explained that he puts in maximum effort every time he plays, stressing that he is ready to run hard for the full 50 overs in ODIs without complaint because his preparation is built around treating every ball as if it could be his last in international cricket. Reflecting on his return to domestic cricket with Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy earlier this year, he said the experience helped him reconnect with his natural love for batting. Playing in a quieter setting allowed him to focus purely on the joy of the game rather than external expectations.
