A few top bowlers have always recorded the record of conceding the most number of sixes in a particular season in the IPL. Amazingly, some of these bowlers have recorded success in terms of taking wickets even when they have been very expensive.

5. Kagiso Rabada – 30 Sixes (IPL 2026)

Kagiso Rabada of South Africa is one of the names that appear in the list due to his giving away 30 sixes in 13 games in IPL 2026.

Rabada has had a remarkable season even after giving away a number of maximums. The fast bowler has taken 21 wickets so far and is still among the top wicket takers in the league.

5. Anshul Kamboj – 30 Sixes (IPL 2026)

Another quick who has been hit for 30 sixes in 13 matches during IPL 2026 is Chennai Super Kings’ paceman Anshul Kamboj.

Despite being hit hard by batters many times, the youngster has proved to be an asset for CSK with the number of wickets that he has taken in this season is 20 wickets. He has shown his fearless attitude with the ball.

4. Yuzvendra Chahal – 30 Sixes (IPL 2024)

Experienced leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal leaked 30 sixes when playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024.
He featured in 15 games that year and was able to pick up 18 wickets.

He is always known to bowl with flight and variations and often bowls invitingly for big shots to get wickets. Even though he was costly at times, his ability to break partnerships made him an asset for Rajasthan Royals.

3. Wanindu Hasaranga – 30 Sixes (IPL 2022)

The Sri Lankan spin-bowler, Wanindu Hasaranga, had a good and bad experience during his IPL 2022 tenure at Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Despite being hit for 30 sixes across 16 matches, Hasaranga managed to be among the most successful bowlers of the competition. He took 26 wickets, making him the second-highest wicket-taker at the end of the season. His attitude towards wicket-taking often made batsmen target him, thus scoring many sixes.

2. Mohammed Siraj – 31 Sixes (IPL 2022)

Mohammed Siraj of Royal Challengers Bangalore was not able to perform well in the IPL 2022 and was hit for 31 maximums in 15 games.

As compared to other bowlers in this list, Mohammed Siraj had an unfortunate year. He took only 9 wickets in the tournament and was criticized for his inconsistency in line and length.
The batsmen of opposition teams always attacked him, making it one of the most difficult years for him in the IPL.

1. Rashid Khan – 33 Sixes (IPL 2025)

Rashid Khan, who plays for Afghanistan, is a holder of the undesirable IPL record for conceding the most number of sixes in one season.

The bowler, playing for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025, conceded 33 sixes in 15 matches. Notably, the experienced spin-bowler had one of the worst IPL seasons, having taken just 9 wickets during the entire season.
Being known as an economical bowler, IPL 2025 was an exceptional season for Rashid Khan.
