Some of the biggest names in India’s BGMI community may soon be united under one banner. And reports have suggested there are six top players in the frame for the country’s line-up for the upcoming international tournament.
The names in question are iQOO Soul’s Nakul and Legit, GodLike Esports’ Spower, iQOO Orangutan’s Akop, iQOO Revenant XSpark’s Pain and Slug. They are also expected to be joined by Ayogi as a coach in the setup.
This is not the final roster at this time. According to sources, only four players will be in the starting lineup, with one more player possibly being chosen as a substitute. The decision has not been made but there is internal trials and evaluations going on behind the scenes.
Selection Process Makes Things More Interesting
What makes this situation special is that all these players usually meet head to head against each other in India’s biggest BGMI tournaments. They are rivals and fight every week for different organisations in BMPS 2026.
Things have totally changed now.
“These players are being judged on how well they can play together as one unit for the country, rather than for their clubs.” Team chemistry, communication, leadership and consistency are said to be becoming key factors in the selection process.
This isn’t just about selecting star players. “We want to put the best team out there we can to compete internationally.”
Official Announcement Could Be Coming Soon
Rumours of an official reveal are rumoured to come May 24. But the final confirmation depends on the approvals of the tournament organisers and the game publisher.
And behind the scenes, there’s also talk on travel and visas. Officials are already working on player paperwork and approvals ahead of the final announcement, sources say.
If there is any problem during the process, the final lineup could still be changed before it’s all official.
Big Opportunity For Indian BGMI Players
This upcoming event is expected to be one of the biggest country-based esports tournament ever created. This is not a normal competition of esports, where clubs fight each other, but a tournament that is for national teams only.
The PUBG Mobile contest will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from November 3 to 8.
A total of 32 national teams are expected to contest the tournament. The teams will first compete in group stages and only the top performing teams will qualify for the Grand Finals.
Later, the winner will be decided using the Smash Rule format, adding even more pressure and excitement to the event.
Fans Already Excited About India’s Chances
Indian fans are already talking about possible combinations and predicting which players deserve a spot in the final squad. The management team will face a very difficult decision in the final selection as all six players have performed well in recent tournaments.
Many fans also believe this could be a significant moment for Indian BGMI esports on the world stage. A good performance here could further add to India’s reputation in competitive mobile gaming around the world.
