Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan opening pair once again made it and they showed it from the front against the Rajasthan Royals, While chasing down the target of 200+ runs they both dominated since the GT’s inning begins and make a partnership of 167 run in crucial knock in qualifier 2, but Sai Sudharsan’s inning ended unfortunately due to hit innings. The partnership was their 11th century partnership in T20 cricket.
Gill and Sudharsan Created history
Earlier, In T20 cricket, Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle secured the record of most century partnerships in T20 cricket. The Virat and Gayle pair has partnered up 10 times in T20 cricket in 68 innings and now Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan break the record. Gill and Sudharsan achieved the historic feat in just 48 innings and became the first player to do so across world cricket. The pair of GT is on top and on number 2 alongside Virat and Gayle, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are also indulged.
Murli Vijay and Michel Hussey
Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill both have been incredible throughout the season. Yesterday they set a record for the highest over opening partnership in the playoff matches by an opening pair. For the first wicket they both made a partnership worth 167 runs. The Previous was held by Chennai Super Kings opening duo Murli Vijay and Michel Hussey. They made a record partnership of 159 runs against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2011 final. Now, Gill and Sudharsan stand on top of the list.
