Final India vs England test is scheduled for 10th September. Unfortunately, after the COVID-19 scare affected the fourth test, now ahead of the last test, an unidentified member of the squad also gets the deadly virus.

The practice match that was due a day prior, on Thursday was canceled due to the unfortunate incident. After careful consideration, it was noted that team India’s Physiotherapist, Yogesh Parmar tested positive. On Wednesday morning, before the training began in Old Trafford, Yogesh Parmar’s lateral flow test was positive. Then on Thursday, Team India’s practice session was canceled by the authorities. All the players were advised to return to their hotel room and remain indoors until further notice. The pre-match media interaction was also canceled abruptly. Parmar’s positive test takes the number of COVID-19 cases in India’s contingent to four, with head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach B. Arun and fielding coach R. Sridhar having been diagnosed COVID-19 positive during the fourth Test in London last week.

The team India management has requested the England Cricket Board for a physiotherapist for the final test. Now the team is left with their batting coach Vikram Rathour ahead of the final test.

In other news, the rest of the Playing XI for team India tested negative. As a result, the team management decided to further carry on with the final test against England. Go well team, best of luck!
