AUSW v INDW: BCCI release training sessions photos for the upcoming Australia Series

The multi-format series between AUSW v INDW will be the first time the two sides have met since the T20 World Cup Final in 2020 at the MCG. The series will include 3 ODIs, a One-off D/N Test Match, and 3 T20Is. Thus, it will be the Indian Women’s Team maiden pink-ball test.

BCCI on Tuesday has released photos of the training session on the official Twitter account of BCCI Women confirming that the preparation for the AUSW v INDW series is going on.

However, the One-off Test Match will be the first between the Australian and Indian women’s teams in 15 years. Having last played the longer format against each other in Adelaide in February 2006.

Whereas, The AUSW v INDW Commonwealth Bank Series had been postponed by few days than earlier planned, with changes in venues – will be played in Queensland entirely, due to lockdowns and border closures.

The 3 matches ODI’s series will be played on September 21, 24, and 26 at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay.

Speaking to ‘The Scoop Podcast’ – India’s opener Smriti Mandhana has said, “We all love playing against Australia because they are one of the best teams in the world and they are quite competitive.”

“When it comes to Australia, you’re a bit more pumped because of the level of competitiveness the Australian team has, it just rubs off on us and we also start being extra competitive,” Mandhana added.

Smriti Mandhana also said, “The Indian team has grown massively (since the T20 World Cup).”
