The Indian Premier League will begin on 19th September this year in the UAE. All the preparations for the same are already underway. The first match will be between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Sam Curran joins the Chennai squad in UAE. Sam Curran who was part of England’s Test team in the recently concluded India tour of England, arrived in Dubai three days after Indian players and Moeen Ali arrived. But as he will have to undergo 6 days quarantine as per the norms, as a result, he is set to miss the first game. The Chennai Super Kings have been facing jitters before the IPL begins. Faf Du Plessis is also doubtful about the game due to his groin injury. Now Sam Curran misses out on the first game.

The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led team has had a fantastic comeback in the tournament. As a result, they are at the top of the table now. At present, they have faced too many troubles ahead of the first game. Some of the players coming after playing the final stage of CPL 2021 – Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir, and Dwayne Bravo – will not have to undergo hard quarantine of six days as they will be coming from the CPL bubble. However, English cricketer Sam Curran, who left the bubble after India vs England Test series, will have to go through a 6-days mandatary quarantine.
