SL v Aus: Marcus Stoinis & Ashton Agar to miss the ODI series due to injuries

All-rounder Marcus Stoinis and Ashton Agar will not be available for the remaining games of the ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Australian cricket team got some bad news in the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis and spin bowler Ashton Agar are ruled out of the series between Australia and Sri Lanka due to injuries. Both the players had an injury in the first ODI game which was played on Tuesday, 14th of June.

Australia won the first ODI against Sri Lanka and is leading the 5-match series by 1-0 but now will be playing without two of their midfield players named Marcus Stoinis and Ashton Agar in the remaining games. Marcus Stoinis played a crucial inning in the first ODI against Sri Lanka which help the Australian team to get the win over them.

Glenn Maxwell was named man of the match in the first ODI as he scored an amazing 80* runs in 51 balls and hit two massive sixes in the end, to make Australia lead this series by 1-0. After left-arm spin bowler, Ashton Agar and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis are injured, Australia will found out replacements for them. The visitors haven’t announced any replacement yet but may do it soon as the second ODI between Australia and Sri Lanka will be played on Thursday, 16th June.
