Indian commentator Sanjay Manjrekar feels India can still make a comeback in this 5th rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston. On day 4, English bowlers bowled out India for 245 runs in the second innings. England need 378 runs to win this Test match and level this series by 2-2.
England batters Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow has put the team on a very comfortable position at the end of the day 4 as they only need 119 runs to win and still has 7 wickets in their hand. Former England captain Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow have already completed their half-centuries. Indian bowlers are finding very difficult to send these batters back to the pavilion. Despite being in this position, Sanjay Manjrekar thinks India can make a Comeback in this position. He feels that the Indian team would want that the weather should change a little bit.
“Don’t rule out an India comeback. They have done it many times before. When you have two world class seamers it’s always a possibility. Just that India would want the weather to change a bit tomorrow,” said Sanjay Manjrekar at the end of Day 4 gameplay.
However, the comeback from Indian team looks unlikely now as the pitch is not what it was on the first and second day.
