Manchester United have officially signed a new centre-back from the Dutch league Ajax FC named Lisandro Martinez. The Argentine joined the Premier League side on a five-year deal. The deal between the player and the club is signed untill 2027. The Argentine centre-back always wanted to join Manchester United since he decided to leave his former club Ajax FC.

Manchester United new manager Erik ten Hag wanted the club to go for this centre-half as he know him very well and feels Lisandro can be one of the key person in United’s rebuilding. Erik has managed two united games in their pre-season tour and won both of them, scoring 8 goals and conceding 1. Erik ten Hag also want Frenkie de Jong with whom the club have already agreed the fee but the player isn’t ready to leave the La Liga side named FC Barcelona.

Lisandro Martinez has been signed for €54 million guaranteed fee and €10 million add ons which will take up the final fee to €64 million (as per Fabrizio Romano’s latest Tweet on this deal). Manchester United have officially announced the signing but haven’t shared the photos of him in new United shirt.
