Suryakumar Yadav was named player of the match for his stunning knock in the third T20I against West Indies.

Indian cricket team defeated West Indies by 7 wickets in the third T20I. The Indian cricket team are currently leading this 5-match T20I series by 2-1 after West Indies levelled it on Monday by winning the second game by 5 wickets. It was an emphatic victory for team India, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav who scored a wonderful half-century during the chase.

Suryakumar Yadav guided India to this victory as he scored 76 runs in 44 balls. He hit 8 boundaries and 4 sixes in the game before he was dismissed by Dominic Drakes in the 15th over. Suryakumar Yadav was named ‘player of the match’ for his match winning Knock in the game. Suryakumar Yadav has been given a new role in this T20I series against West Indies. As no one would have expected skipper Rohit Sharma will open the innings with his franchise teammate Suryakumar Yadav. Yadav has played for India at No. 3 and No. 4 and has some decent stats at those positions. It was the first time Suryakumar Yadav scored a half-century while opening the innings in blue jersey (India). Indian team will now be playing the fourth T20I on Saturday, 6th August.
