The summer transfer window is nearing its end and thus teams are looking to add up some players in their squad. Manchester United who desperately needs a new signing before the transfer window ends are pursuing so many players. They have set Antony their main forward target this summer.

Erik ten Hag (Manchester United’s manager) wants Antony as he knows him well and feels he can improve the team. According to English football journalist David Ornstein, Manchester United made a bid for Antony on Thursday night, 18th August. He reported that the Premier League side who generated interest in Antony again made a huge €80 million bid which was rejected by Ajax FC.

Ajax FC rejected the bid as they want more for Antony and want United to bid a higher amount than this. Antony is also interested in joining Manchester United but won’t make a transfer request and respect Ajax (as reported by Fabrizio Romano).

Antony would love to reunite with his former manager Erik ten Hag but if they want the player they will have to bid higher than €80 million which is unlikely as of now.
