Manchester United and Liverpool will face each other at Old Trafford on Monday night, 23rd August in the their third Premier League game of the season. The team sheets have been released by both the clubs and there is again a surprise for Manchester United fans as Ronaldo misses out in the playing XI.

Along with Portuguese forward (Cristiano Ronaldo) club captain Harry Maguire is also benches by their new manager Erik ten Hag after their poor performance in the last game against Brentford FC. Manchester United lost 4-0 against Brentford in their second gameweek of the new season. Portuguese forward hasn’t had a single goal this season and his agent Jorge Mendes is already in search of some other club for him.

Manchester United dropped Maguire and Ronaldo and picked up Elanga and Raphael Varane in the starting XI against Liverpool. New signing Casemiro has also arrived in the stadium (Old Trafford) and will be watching the game. The Brazilian midfielder wasn’t registered in time for Manchester United otherwise he would have played tonight’s game as well. In absence of their club captain Maguire, Bruno Fernandes has been named captain for this game against Liverpool FC.
