Days ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League season, the buzz and the build-up are at their peak. SunRisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner – who is a social media star, thanks to his antics on TikTok – recently arrived in India for the new season and asked fans for suggestions as to how he can get through the quarantine period.
Warner on his official Instagram account posted a video and updated all the fans that he is currently in quarantine but also asked them to give some suggestions to kill the boredom that he can do in his hotel room. When the popular cricketer asked for suggestions in quarantine, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit was among the first ones to respond. The Hitman cheekily trolled Warner as he wrote: “Must be missing TikTok”. As many of Warner’s fans know, the Aussie batsman is huge on the social media platform and regularly entertains his fans with his videos. However, since TikTok is banned in India, Warner wouldn’t be able to kill time by posting his traditional dance videos during the course of his stay in the country.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has mandated every player and support staff to undergo a quarantine of 7 days before joining their respective franchise’s camp. Alongside Warner, a number of Sunrisers Hyderabad players have joined the bio-bubble. Kane Williamson and assistant coach Brad Haddin also started the mandatory quarantine on Friday.
