One of the prominent BJP leaders, Subramanian Swamy tweeted, “Playing cricket with terrorist Pakistan, which is killing innocent Indians, is unacceptable. Mughals were the same, but they have been made to vanish by us. We cannot find them today even with a microscope or telescope. We can play cricket match after Pak ‘into 4’—with all four.” Further, he is said to have opposed the match earlier.

The match, however, took place at a time when petrol prices nearly reached its peak in India. On such context, the Indian Youth Congress leader Srinivas BV made a hilarious remark on Twitter, stating “though India lost the match, but the petrol-diesel prices will win once again in the morning”.

Besides such renowned personalities, the fans and supporters of team India were also dishearten after the loss. But they encouraged and acknowledged their hard work. If such scenario occurs again, it is likely for everyone to react in a similar manner. The social media will be flooded with reactions, and some fans might end up not celebrating the Diwali season.

As of now, everyone has high hopes from India after they set a record of maximum wins this year, so it will be a major setback for the supporters if they are defeated by Pakistan.
