Rahmatullah Gurbaz
On January 27, 2017, Gurbaz made his List A debut for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe A during their tour of Zimbabwe. On September 12, 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut for Mis Ainak Knights in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League. On March 1, 2018, he made his Mis Ainak Region first-class debut at the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. Gurbaz was included on Paktia’s roster for the first Afghanistan Premier League competition in September 2018.
Shafiqulla
His Afghanistan debut came in the Asian Cricket Council Middle East Cup in 2006 against Saudi Arabia. When Afghanistan faced Malaysia in the 2008 ACC Trophy Elite, he made his next team debut. He went on to play 5 more matches for Afghanistan in the competition. Later, he continued to play for the rapidly developing Afghanistan cricket team. In less than a year, from 2008 to 2009, they won the World Cricket League Division Five, Division Four, and Division Three, which prompted them to Division Two and allowed them to compete in the 2009 ICC World Cup Qualifier, where they qualified for One Day International status and first-class status.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran
He was one of the eleven cricketers who competed in Afghanistan’s first-ever Test match, against India, in June 2018. He was the first man to play international cricket who was born in the twenty-first century. Two months after making his international debut, at the age of 16 years and 325 days, he set a new record for the youngest player to take five wickets in a One Day International. His uncle, Noor Ali Zadran, is also an Afghan international cricketer. On August 10, 2017, he made his List A debut for Speen Ghar Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament.
Ikram Ali Akhil
On September 14, 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut for the Band-e-Amir Dragons in the Shpageeza Cricket League. He was a member of the Afghanistan team that competed in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup before making his T20 debut. Additionally, he helped Afghanistan win their first ACC Under-19 Cup championship by scoring an undefeated century in the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup final. He was included in Afghanistan’s team for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2017.
On March 1, 2018, he made his first-class debut for the Speen Ghar Region at the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. On July 10, 2018, he participated in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day Tournament for Speen Ghar Region and made his List A debut. He was included on Balkh’s roster for the first Afghanistan Premier League competition in September 2018. In March 2019, he made his international cricket debut for the Afghanistan cricket team.
