The Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, and New York Knicks compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. This year, it will serve as a battleground for playoff seeding and may yield the eventual victor of the Eastern Conference. The Brooklyn Nets are one of those teams that has fought its way up the ladder, added quality players via grit, and accomplished all of that without having any well-known stars on the roster. This team’s season has been exemplified by D’Angelo Russell’s All-Star Game debut and Joe Harris’ victory over Stephen Curry in the three-point shootout. With a 30-30(0.500) win-loss record and sixth place standing in the West, Dinwiddie (17.2 ppg) and Russell are the team’s top scorers (20.2 ppg).

Since Jason Kidd was in charge, the buzz for the Nets has never been this high. Any organisation can achieve this by signing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant via free agency, even though Durant’s Nets debut is most likely to happen next season after he suffered an ACL injury in the NBA Finals against Toronto last spring.

The depth of the Nets’ roster around Irving, which also includes Spencer Dunwiddie, Caris LaVert, Joe Harris, Jarrett Allen, newcomers Taurean Prince and Wilson Chandler, and of course the F.O.K. (Friends of Kevin Durant) to end all F.O.K.s in DeAndre Jordan, will ensure that they remain a playoff-calibre team even without him. Brooklyn Nets very likely to win the NBA championship in 2021–2022, as well as the Eastern Conference. The Big 3’s physical condition and regular availability are still in doubt, though.

Probable Starting Line-up

Joe Harris, Kevin Durant, Nik Claxton, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and the power forward position (C). The Nets made a wise decision this off-season by signing Patty Mills as a backup to Kyrie Irving or James Harden. Additionally, they currently have a tonne of major talent at the centre position, all of whom are starters. LaMarcus Aldridge, who is returning to the NBA after getting well again, Nik Claxton, a 22-year-old, James Johnson, and Blake Griffin, who played the role in the playoffs the previous season, are the options available to Steve Nash.

When you factor in the skills of someone like Joe Harris, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, and Bruce Brown, among others, it is difficult to envision anything other than a highly competitive season.
