At the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, the series’ opening game of the Border Gavaskar Trophy is now being played. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, decided to include Ashwin, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja in the starting 11. Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia, called this morning’s toss and chose to bat first. David Warner and Usman Khawaja, Australia’s opening batters, were both out for one run as a result. David Warner was out LBW on the first ball of the second over of the game, giving Mohammad Siraj and the Indian squad their maiden victory. Australia was shut out for 177 runs as of the time this story was being written thanks to the superb bowling attack of the Indian team.

The Australian squad bowed in front of Ravindra Jadeja

With his spin bowling, Ravindra Jadeja, who recently rejoined the squad after an extended injury, pushed the Australian batter to get to his knees. The Indian squad promptly took the first two wickets, but Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, who came to bat on the field, immediately put up an 82-run partnership. Jadeja destroyed their alliance. In this game, Jadeja claimed a total of 5 wickets.

History was made by Ravichandran Ashwin

Test cricket history was made by Ravichandran Ashwin, an accomplished star spinner for the Indian team. To take the fastest 450 Test wickets, he has outperformed some of the finest bowlers in history. As of right now, Ashwin has completed 450 Tests in the second-fastest time of any bowler. The 36-year-old off-spinner Ashwin achieved this feat by taking his first wicket in the Nagpur Test match against Australia. Prior to the Nagpur game, Ashwin had an average of 24.30 wickets in 88 Test matches. In today’s game, R Ashwin claimed 3/42 for India in 15.5 overs.
