Bangladesh vs Australia, 2017 in Mirpur
Australia’s cricket team played two Test matches in Bangladesh in August and September of 2017. The tour was Australia’s very first Bangladesh since 2011. Bangladesh vs England, 2016 in Mirpur
In October 2016, the English cricket team visited Bangladesh to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs), 2 Test matches, and 3 tour games. 4 months before the tour began, a terrorist assault in Dhaka sparked worries about team safety. As a result, two England players, frequent one-day captain Eoin Morgan and opener Alex Hales, opted not to play. England ended up winning the one-day international series 2-1. Shannon Gabriel captured 4 wickets in three overs after Mominul Haque struck a century on the first day of the Bangladesh-West Indies Test in Chittagong. Mominul Haque’s 120 off 167 balls helped Bangladesh attain 315 for 8 at wickets, his eighth Test century. He now shares the record for most Test centuries for Bangladesh with Tamim Iqbal. After the break time, Gabriel finished Mominul’s record innings with 4-69 in a catastrophic stunning strike that also included prized wickets of Shakib Al Hasan (34), Mushfiqur Rahim (four), and Mahmudullah Riyad (three).
