It was earlier reported that before the T20 World in 2020, the legendary South African batsman AB de Villiers will again return to international cricket. But due to Corona, the T20 World Cup was postponed and it did not happen.

Earlier African team’s head coach Mark Boucher has revealed that there is still talk of bringing AB de Villiers back into the team. He said that he had talked to AB about this before leaving South Africa for the 2021 IPL.

Boucher further said that he would fully support AB de Villiers and a decision would be taken on him after the IPL is over.

Mark Boucher said, “I talked to him before going into the IPL. There is still hope that something like this will happen. AB himself wants him to do well in the IPL and prove himself. He is still in world cricket Is one of the big giants of the world and he can regain his supremacy.”
After seeing the performance of AB de Villers in IPL 2021 many famous personalities also demanded the return of Mr. 360 in the upcoming T20 world cup.

It has nearly been three years since AB de Villiers announced his international retirement. The former South Africa captain has continued to play in T20 leagues across the world over the years and has displayed supreme form in the shortest format. De Villiers’ heroics in the Indian Premier League over the years for Royal Challengers Bangalore almost prompted a discussion around an international return for him in South Africa’s T20 World Cup squad last year.
