At the AIG Women’s Open, Diksha Dagar achieved a career-high T-21 finish in a Major. Dagar, a two-time LET champion, won the competition with another outstanding back-nine performance.

She had a 2-over first nine holes but a 3-under second nine for a 1-under total. She finished the four days with scores of 74-71-72-71, giving her a par 288 overall.

Aditi Ashok’s rounds of 72-69-75-75 caused her to shoot two consecutive 75s and drop to T-40. She was tied for tenth place in the event halfway through, but she fell over the weekend.

At the 2023 AIG Women’s Open, American Lilia Vu defeated the competition by six strokes to win her second Major of the year. Vu, who finished the week with a score of 14-under, shot 72-68-67-67. Charley Hull of England, who was tied for the lead after 54 holes but could not make her putter cooperate, finished with a 73. Vu was six shots ahead of Hull.

Diksha outperformed Aditi Ashok’s T-22 finish at the 2018 Women’s Open to post the best-ever Indian female player finish at a Major.

Diksha made the cut for the first time in her fourth Women’s Open after missing it in 2019, 2020, and 2022. She had never made the cut before, and this was her sixth major overall.

Diksha returned to the Top-5 of the Ladies European Tour’s Race to Costa Del Sol with prizes of $ 84,162, which were also the biggest of her professional career. Aditi is currently third in this race.

Diksha finished 2-over after bogeying the fourth and sixth holes on the front nine to move up to T-35 after the third round. Diksha recovered with birdies on holes 12, 15, and 17 on the back nine, which she had completed in par or better each of the first three days. She also dropped a few opportunities. Diksha shot her best round of the week with just 28 putts despite finding fewer fairways and regulation greens after going over 30 putts on the first three days.

Aditi had a 75 and ended T-40 after starting the third day in a tie for 28th place. She made one birdie on each of the front and back nines.

Celine Boutier increased her lead at the top of the 2023 Race to Costa del Sol standings and currently has 1,725.38 points. With 1,433.20 points, Ana Peláez Trivio of Spain is still in second place, followed by Aditi Ashok (1,309.19) and Linn Grant of Sweden (1,276.28). After finishing in a tie for 21st place, India’s Diksha has climbed to fifth place.
