Aaron Rodgers may be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel after holding discussions with the New York Jets, it seems.
One of the most talked-about subjects in the NFL offseason thus far has been the quarterback’s future, and with free agency about to begin, Rodgers’ next move may already be decided.
On the “I AM ATHLETE” podcast, former Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall, 39, was questioned about his future and whether it involved anything other than the Green Bay Packers.
Stay tuned, Rodgers advised. It probably won’t take long. All of this has a time limit.
The veteran was questioned regarding his meeting with Jets owner Woody Johnson after receiving approval from the Packers to address the New York group.
Keeping his cards close to his chest, Rodgers retorted, “Yeah, it’s always interesting meeting important figures in the sport. That is all I have to offer you.
The legendary Packers player recently spent time at a retreat in the dark in an effort to get clarity on his impending move.
After his time at the retreat, the four-time MVP remarked, “All the answers are right inside me. “During the darkness, I touched many of them and undoubtedly the feelings on both sides, and I’m grateful for that time.
“The decision has a sense of finality. I take it seriously. I don’t want to bother anyone. Look, I’m responding to inquiries about it because I receive them. It’s important to me, so that’s why I’m talking about it.
After 18 seasons with the team, Rodgers’ time in Wisconsin would come to an end if he left the Packers.
Even though the team frequently fell short of expectations, Rodgers achieved extremely high levels of personal success during his time in Green Bay and won the Super Bowl once. He has the most passing touchdowns and yards in franchise history, respectively.
Rodgers may be leaving the Packers, but Mark Murphy, the company’s president and CEO, isn’t ruling anything out.
He clearly excels as a player. MVP four times. But, as Murphy told the NFL website, “I think it’s trying to find what he wants and what we want, and hopefully we can find a win-win situation.
