The team holds numerous other records in the NFL, including the longest winning streak (21 games) in the regular season and the playoffs (October 2003–October 2004), the most consecutive winning seasons (nine from 2001–2019), the most consecutive conference championship appearances (eight from 2011–2018), the most consecutive division titles (eleven from 2009–2019), and the only undefeated regular season record (37 wins) (2007).
The New England Patriots are among the league’s most decorated franchises. The team, formerly known as the Boston Patriots, didn’t find postseason success until the 2000s, long after its name change. The Patriots have won five Super Bowls since their first in 2002, making them the most successful team in NFL history. The Patriots are a National Football League team representing the American Football Conference East. The New England Patriots’ home field is Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
The Patriots have made the most Super Bowl appearances (11) and are the only team to win the championship (6 times). Since 2000, when they joined forces, head coach Bill Belichick and legendary quarterback Tom Brady have formed the Greater Boston club’s most successful partnership, leading them to nine Super Bowl appearances and six victories. With Brady and Belichick at the helm, the Patriots became one of the most dominant teams in sports history, setting or tying nearly every significant Super Bowl record.
The team also holds numerous other records in the NFL, including the longest winning streak (21 games) in the regular season and the playoffs (October 2003–October 2004), the most consecutive winning seasons (nine from 2001–2019), the most consecutive conference championship appearances (eight from 2011–2018), the most consecutive division titles (eleven from 2009–2019), and the only undefeated regular season record (37 wins) (2007).

Championships are different gravy for the New England Patriots. From their founding to 1998, the New England Patriots had few postseason appearances despite reaching two Super Bowls and losing both. The Patriots became the league’s most successful club once Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick arrived. The New England Patriots have won 11 Conference Championships, 22 Divisional Championships, and 6 Super Bowls. Between 2001 and 2021, the Patriots had 18 playoff appearances. Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, is the Patriots’ home stadium. The NFL’s New England Patriots and Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution call it their home field and administrative headquarters. The Patriots’ previous Foxboro Stadium was replaced with Gillette Stadium in 2002.
