AKFI Reveals List Of Probable Players For Indian Men’s Kabaddi Team

A lot has been happening on the Kabaddi mat of late. Fans recently saw the conclusion of the Kabaddi World Cup in England, both in men’s and women’s competitions in which India emerged as the champions in both the tournaments. 

In the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou as well, India took the gold medal in both men’s and women’s competition.

Going forward, a few international tournaments are in the pipeline in the near future and a handful of Kabaddi series between two or more countries might also take place. 

India, the powerhouse of Kabaddi, are already preparing for big matches. Tournaments are being held at district, state, national levels to groom the players for the international stage.

In the run up to the upcoming fixtures, Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has announced the probable 44 players for Indian men’s kabaddi team who will stay in camp for coaching for upcoming international events.

The selection procedure was held by taking into consideration performance of players at 71st Senior Men’s National Kabaddi Championship.

The probable players will undergo intense training in the camp after which the Indian men’s kabaddi team will be shortlisted. They will represent India at international Kabaddi tournaments.
