The 35-year-old secured his fifth victory—his fourth in downhill— joining two-time Olympic silver medallist Peter Müller in joint second place on the list of all-time World Cup downhill winners with 19 career wins.

Paris secured his first podium of the 2024-25 season two weeks ago in the Crans-Montana Super-G. He recorded the fastest time in three of the six sectors and crossed the line 0.32 seconds ahead of World Cup leader Marco Odermatt.

Three Swiss skiers finished in the top five, with Stefan Rogentin completing the podium 0.63 seconds behind the Italian.

World champion Franjo von Allmen finished fourth, 0.20 seconds behind Rogentin.

“I tried to make the skis run, and in the end, it went well. Behind me, there are only Swiss skiers: they are definitely the strongest at the moment and the ones to beat. I’m very happy to be back on the podium,” Paris told Italian media.
