Andre the Giant Battle Royal: A Big Tradition During WrestleMania
Every year during WrestleMania weekend, WWE organizes the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. This match is held in memory of Andre the Giant, one of the biggest and strongest wrestlers in WWE history. He was more than seven feet tall and weighed over 500 pounds. In his time, he took part in many battle royal matches.
This match started in 2014 at WrestleMania XXX and has become a yearly event since then. In 2020, the match didn’t happen because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It returned in 2021 and was held during the SmackDown show before WrestleMania.
