Andrea Preti X Venus Williams: Venus Williams has been in news for a while. First for her professional comeback and now for her engagement confirmation. After returning to action from a 16 months of break, the American tennis player made a surprising revelation regarding her engagement.
The announcement came after her singles win at the DC Open against fellow American Peyton Stearns in the Round of 32 clash . With the victory, the 45-year-old became the second oldest player after Martina Navratilova in (2004) to win a tour-level singles match.
After hitting themilestone, Venus thanked her fiance, who was present in the stands at the DC Open.
“Do you know how hard it is to play tennis? You guys don’t know how much work goes into this, like it’s 9 to 5 except you’re running the whole time. Lifting weights and just like dying and then you repeat it the next day. So he encouraged me to get through this and it’s wonderful to be here. He’s never seen me play,” said the 45-year-old athlete.
“My fiance is here and he really encouraged me to keep playing,” she said.
Thus, Venus put the speculations to rest by confirming her engagement to Andrea Preti.

Who is Andrea Preti?
Born in Denmark in 1988 and raised in Italy, Andrea Preti is a model-actor. The 37-year-old began his career as a fashion model before taking up to acting and directing.
He trained at New York’s Susan Batson Academy and learnt the nuances of performance arts.
In 2014, Preti’s breakout came with the indie film One More Day, which he wrote, directed, and starred in. He appeared in the popular TV drama A Professor and, more recently, in the 2023 drama Temptation. He’s also dabbled in reality TV, including the Italian version of The Mole (La Talpa).
