French striker Anthony Martial will lead the attack for Manchester United this season as per multiple reports. There are plenty of rumours spreading that Manchester United’s striker Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the club this summer. Cristiano hasn’t showed up in training this season as his agents are still finding new club for him (as per reports).
But now the feeling in the club is even if Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Manchester United’s training and stays at the club this season, he won’t be leading the attack. Anthony Martial will be the main striker of Manchester United this season (2022/23) as reported by ‘The Guardian’ on Friday, 22nd July. Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag always says that Cristiano is their player and he won’t be leaving the club, but it is a feeling among the players that he will certainly leave this summer and his agent Jorge Mendes is working on his departure.
Anthony Martial was fantastic in the all the pre-season games Manchester United played so far. He scored in all the games, be it against Liverpool, Melbourne Victory or Crystal Palace. It is rumoured that Erik will make Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial their main attacking options this season.
