Virat Kohli was fired up on Friday (May 23) during the IPL 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). After Abhishek Sharma’s dismissal, the RCB star gave the young opener an intense send-off that quickly grabbed attention. Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, was also spotted reacting from the stands as the moment played out.

Abhishek had given SRH a blazing start after being asked to bat first. He came out swinging, taking on RCB’s bowlers with confidence and power, hitting boundaries with ease.
However, his quickfire innings came to an end in the 4th over. On the final ball of the over, South African pacer Lungi Ngidi delivered a full ball aimed at the stumps. Abhishek tried to flick it to the leg side but didn’t get enough elevation. Phil Salt, stationed near the boundary, ran in and held on to a sharp catch, sending Abhishek back to the dugout.
As Abhishek Sharma walked back to the pavilion after scoring a quick 34 off just 17 balls, including 3 fours and 3 sixes, Virat Kohli couldn’t hold back his emotions. He charged in and gave the young batter a fiery send-off, roaring in celebration.
In the stands, Anushka Sharma was seen smiling and clapping, clearly enjoying the moment as Kohli’s passion lit up the field.
Virat Kohli recently announced his retirement from Test cricket, leaving fans emotional. However, his wife shared a positive message, cheering him on and showing her support.
A part of her note read: “They’ll talk about the records and the milestones – but I’ll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game. I know how much all this took from you. After every Test series, you came back a little wiser, a little humbler – and watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege.
Somehow, I always imagined you’d retire international cricket in whites – But you’ve always followed your heart, and so I just want to say my love, you’ve earned every bit of this goodbye ❤️”
