WWE star Apollo Crews has been out of action for a few months now due to a painful injury. But fans finally got a quick update from him, and it seems like he’s healing well.
How Apollo Crews Got Injured
Apollo suffered a torn pectoral muscle during a match with Johnny Gargano on the January 24 episode of SmackDown. The injury happened after Gargano hit him with a backstabber a sudden move that caused serious damage. After the match, Apollo needed surgery, which he got in Birmingham, Alabama, back in February.
Apollo’s Recovery Update
Recently, Apollo took to Instagram Stories to share how things are going. He posted a photo showing his arm and simply wrote:
“Healing nicely.”
That short message gave fans some hope that he’s on the right track to make a comeback. His arm also looked better than expected, which is a good sign.
Apollo’s Journey in WWE So Far
Apollo Crews is part of the SmackDown roster. He’s had a long journey in WWE, holding titles like the United States Championship and the Intercontinental Championship in the past.
Before his injury, Apollo had just one televised match in 2025. That was the same match where he got hurt against Gargano. So far, this is his only match this year.
His Last Few Appearances
Before moving to SmackDown again, Apollo was briefly on RAW, but he wasn’t given many matches there. He had also returned to NXT for some time in 2023, where he got more screen time.
When he came back to the main roster, Apollo teamed up with Baron Corbin, who was also fresh off a strong NXT run. But their partnership didn’t last long.
His last big match before the injury came on December 20, 2024, where he joined forces with LA Knight and Andrade to face off against The Bloodline’s Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, and Tama Tonga. It was a tough fight, but unfortunately, they didn’t win.
