Artistic Swimming World Cup Super Final: Top 4 athletes to watch
Maria Alavidze (Georgia)
A bronze medal-winner at the 2022 European championships has been consistent in this year’s World Cup, finishing outside the top-10 in both solo technical and solo free just once (a 12th-place finish in the technical event at the season opener in Paris back in February).
The 18-year-old’s highest finish at the World Cup came at the most recent stop in Canada, where she won silver in the solo free, so she’s coming into the Super Final in top form and with 1219.8881 points ahead of second placed Singapore’s Rachel Thean at 1104.1115 points.
Txell Ferré Gaset & Lilou Lluís Valette (Spain)
Members of Spain’s bronze-medal team at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, Gaset and Valette finished on the podium in the duet technical events at two of the three World Cup stops this season (gold in Paris, seventh in Somabay, silver in Markham). Valette has won gold (Markham) and bronze (Somabay) in duet free, helping to boost her and Valette’s points tally in the duet rankings, which now stands at 818.4399 points.
Guo Muye (China)
China’s rising star has been winning a medal in every category he’s competed in at the 2025 World Cup. That includes three golds (one in the men’s solo free, one in solo technical, one in mixed duet technical), one silver (mixed duet free) and one bronze (team acrobatic). The 17-year-old is ahead with 66 points in the men’s solo standings.
