The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming Asian Games 2026, which is scheduled to start from September 19. The squad features several uncapped players like Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat, and Saad Masood.
Pakistan’s star opener Sahibzada Farhan will lead the Men-in-Green for the 10-team competition, while right-handed batter Abdul Samad will serve as his deputy.
The men’s cricket competition will be played in the T20 format at the Asian Games 2026. The cricket competition will kick off on September 24 and last till October 3. The 10 teams that will feature in the tournament are India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Japan, Nepal, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Oman.
India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh confirmed their spots automatically, while host nation Japan also qualified.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India recently announced the squad for the Asian Games. The Men in Blue will also head into the competition with a couple of changes. Shreyas Iyer will lead the side, while Tilak Varma will serve as his deputy in Japan,
Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also received his maiden India call-up. India’s top order will be boosted after the inclusion of power-hitter Sooryavanshi, as he will add depth to the squad alongside Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Ishan Kishan
